For Google Japan’s first in-person marketing conference, the client challenged us to apply a Japanese summer festival twist to the classic Google aesthetic. We achieved this by introducing gradient colourways and pushing into brighter shades, setting a new tone for future in-person events.
I illustrated the goldfish key visual, going through many rounds of revisions with the client to sort out the intricacies to ensure it was culturally correct. I also designed several activation spaces throughout the event including networking areas, wayfinding and a functional shaved ice cart. From the digital invitation to the physical sets, we developed a vibrant and memorable experience that received great feedback from clients and attendees.
